Noa'ia 'e mauri. Welcome to Project Rotuma (PJR) Information site.

Rotuma lies at the western extreme of Polynesia. Rotuma, too small to justify her own governorship, was ceded to Great Britain in 1881 and administered as part of Fiji, the nearest British colony.

Polynesian Rotumans and their melanesian cousins, Fijians, have enjoyed cordial bilateral relationships ever since.
